Warehouse

Warehouses are the building blocks of civilization. The most basic of all structures, warehouses are small yet heavily shielded platforms built to store large amounts of goods in regions of space where other means of logistics may not be available or cost-effective. This structure can dock capital ships and may be tier upgraded to house larger quantities of freight and more vessels.

Shipyard

The largest pieces of infrastructure to be found in Andromeda, shipyards are enormous factories built solely to fabricate and maintain ships of all kinds. The only structures capable of building spacecraft, shipyards are also able to repair damaged vessels at a modest rate and store a hefty sum of minerals, but their voracious energy demands and strategic value are often too great for all but the most powerful of alliances and entrepreneurs and as such are rare sights to behold across the Lost Universe.

Laboratories are responsible for facilitating research and development. Featuring many science slots, blueprints and advancements can be run through a lab to both reduce research times and queue multiple developments simultaneously. In addition to their constructive purpose, laboratories are also able to reverse engineer spacecraft for the accelerated drafting of blueprints.

Mining Station

The forge of an empire, the mining station is a superstructure like no other. Build directly into an asteroid deposit, this sprawling network of colonies and refineries exists to extract an enormous amount of minerals for a wealthy alliance or entrepreneur. Upon the construction of this station, the deposit in which it is located will become property of its proprietor; however, races and alliances may demand hefty gratuities or deny the acquisition of a deposit altogether if necessary. This structure may be configured to harvest a specific ratio of ore to silicon and is affected by deposit yield bonuses. This structure also requires the Energy-Matter Sciences advancement to be used to its full potential.

Solar Power Plant

Power plants are to complex upkeep what mining stations are to the mineral trade. These large stations are built to satisfy the energy demands of an empire through the consumption of silicon or nividium, and may be connected to a nearby powergrid relay station to further automate this process. This structure requires the Energy-Matter Sciences advancement to be used to its full potential.

Powergrid Relay Station

The remote powergrid interface is a strategic asset used to transmit power from one or several solar power plants to other pieces of infrastructure within a given sector, thus eliminating the need for slow convoys of freighters to transport bulky energy cells manually. This structure draws its own power from the energy it transmits, consuming less with higher efficiency tier upgrades as well as expanding its broadcast range. Some super capital ships are capable of interfacing with a powergrid to satisfy their large energy requirements as well.

Orbital Supply Dock

The only station class built solely to interface with terrestrial infrastructure, orbital supply docks are large wharves placed in low orbit over a local planet or moon to permit the shipment of freight between space and the surface below, as well as facilitate the movement of materiel and infantry. These stations are fundamental for the operation of planetary colonies, which would otherwise be inaccessible without some means of transportation between both venues of infrastructure. A spaceport or other rocketry site must be available on the planet's surface to use this orbital platform to its full potential.

Administration Center

Administration centers come in many different forms and sizes, depending on the role they're built to accommodate. Ultimately constructed to simply the micromanagement of an alliance's entire fleet, administration centers also serve as sovereignty management hubs where sector ownership is concerned. These stations are often vast, spacious, and highly complex superstructures with a large external hangar count and powerful shields built to outlast gruesome conflict and stand the test of time itself. This structure may be armed with stationary defense weaponry to greatly improve its survivability and military capacity in dangerous sectors.

Only one administration center per sector is permitted to be operational under an alliance at a given time.
