The original homeworld of Andromedian colonies, Inner Andromeda was once the cradle of life for the Profit Guild and the foundation for inter-racial diplomacy in a society void of its ties with the rest of civilization.  That was, of course, before Andromeda's Wrath decimated everything that this beloved space once stood for.  Now it's but a barren wasteland, its planet lifeless and scorched.  The Cataclysm destroyed countless lives, but this sector continues to serve as a beacon of hope for those who remain to rebuild what was unrighteously lost.

Molten

Iron Mallet was once the greatest accolade to industrial might and inter-racial collaboration in all of settled Andromeda.  That's hardly apparent today, as the shattered planet's unstable core fulminates on a regular basis, projecting molten rock into the space beyond that was once revered for its beauty and productivity.  There's nothing but harmful radiation and the austerity of asteroids here now, but fortune still favours the bold.
